The Effect of the Corona Crisis on Energy Demand and GHG Emissions of the University of Oldenburg, and Future Scenarios for Improvements


The purpose of the present research is to determine the GHG emissions resulting from mobility, including commuting and business/professional trips, as well as the GHG emissions from electricity within the context of Oldenburg University. In particular, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the research aims to analyze the effect of an online-mode semester relative to the GHG emissions of a normal-mode semester and determine possible scenarios for the future of the institution's emissions.
